About Aquitaine
Green, white and blue. Seen from the sky, the Aquitaine coastline draws a vertical line from the mouth of the Gironde Estuary to Spain, forming a beach that is no less than 150 mile long, all in a single stretch. It is the sand deposited by the ocean currents over thousands of years that has raised this wall of dunes. Behind it, a series of lakes has formed and vegetation has flourished. Coppices of trees and green stretches of lawn draped over the rounded forms of the dunes... the ideal spot for discovering the region.
