Château des Vigiers

Donald Steel, considered to be one of the very best "natural" golf course architects, created our unique 18-hole, par 72 course in its enthralling setting amidst plum trees, oak woods, lakes and vineyards. Donald, who has contributed to many world-famous courses such as the Jubilee and Eden courses at St. Andrews as well as Chantilly in France, designed the course with the Château as its centrepiece; the 9th and 18th finishing off in front of the Château; and many of the other undulating greens with different perspectives of the Château.

Moliets Golf Course

The Moliets course is considered to be one of the 12 best golfs in Aquitaine. The French Golf Federation, appreciative of the climate in Moliets and the quality of the amenities on the course, chose Moliets to create a National Winter Training Centre. The Moliets course also used by the European Challenge Tour as part of the European circuit.

Lacanau golf course

Opened in 1980 the Golf de Lacanau amply deserves its international reputation by maintaining the exceptional quality of the fairways and the speed of the greens all year long.

Designed by the architect Harris, the golf course winds between the dunes and the groves of broom with fairways laid out in a star shape around the hotel.

The undiscutable charm of this golfcourse lies in its technical flexibility which even beginners can appreciate and in the varied design of the holes, each with its own identity.
The par 72 course has a slope of 137 from the back tees, which makes it ideal for players who want to improve their handicap. A player with an index of 17,5 will play with a handicap of 23.

Les Vignes

The Vignes course, 6,220 meters long, with a par of 71, designed by Rod Whitman (Canada), is set in a typically regional landscape where the beauty of the moors and the maritime pines serve to enhance the architect's design.

The long par-5 holes with their carefully designed greens, the judiciously placed bunkers call for careful and precise strokes.
The wide variety of holes and the sumptuous setting will more than meet the expectations of the most demanding players.

Les Châteaux

6,316 meters long, with a par of 71, designed by Bill Corre (USA), corresponds to the pure tradition of Scottish links.

Wide fairways bordered by heather, gorse and broom entice golfers into the delights of a carefully preserved nature.

The fast greens, the influence of Atlantic winds and the technical difficulties of the layout make this championship course a constant challenge.

The Restaurant of Relais de Margaux, situated in one of the old wine-cellars, with its mellow stone walls, is a truly distinctive residence. Its several bay windows, with direct access to the terrace give the brightness to the building. The pastel colours of the walls are infused with the fine silver- and glassware.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Bordeaux – Welcome by our representative - Drive or transfert o the Château des Vigiers (1,5h)

Lodging at Château des Vigiers, a magnificent castle dating back to 1597 with tastefully restored rooms, known locally as « Little Versailles ». Quality wines have been produced here as far back as the 16th century. Michel Rolland who, according to the Wine Spectator, is one of the best oenologists in the world, supervises our production to produce award winning wines.

 

Day 2: Golf at Château des Vigiers

Day 3:

Visit of the medieval town of Saint-Emilion with wine tasting in a Saint-Emilion winery

Lodging at Les Sources de Caudalie. The Caudalie Vinotherapie® Spa is located just next to the Sources de Caudalie hotel-restaurant in the middle of the Château Smith Haut Lafitte, vineyards, near Bordeaux. The Spa offers an exclusive programme of treatments in a setting of unusual beauty.

These treatments are absolutely unique. They combine the virtues of naturally warm spring water taken from a depth of 540 metres underground, rich in minerals and oligo-elements, with vine and grape extracts. That latter have a high concentration of polyphenols, which help fight against free radicals, what are 80% responsible for ageing. Furthermore, these extracts strengthen blood vessels and enhance micro-circulation.

 

Day 4: Golf at Moliets

Golf at Moliets golf course, a championship course with five seaside holes, offering a true view of the Landes with its wide fairways carved out of the pine forest, and its small hilly dunes. Moliets Golf Course designed by the Master Trent Jones, has been ranked 25th among the top 50 best golf courses in Europe.
