DAY1:
Chambord-Blois-Cheverny
Chambord : The magnificent
château of François I is 128 metres
long, it includes 440 rooms and 365
Discovery of the park in a horse
carriage and guided tour inside the
castle.
Lunch in Blois, facing the castle
in a delightful restaurant : "Le Rendez Vous des
Pêcheurs".
Blois. Guided tour of the château. You will admire the famous staircase jutting out of an octagonal tower in the wing of Francois I… It's is here that the Duke of Guise was murdered…
Cheverny. With well-balanced proportions, this castle is the best furnished in the Loire Valley. Guided tour.
Amboise. Dinner at the restaurant "L'Epicerie", a warm setting facing the château. Night at the hotel "Le Blason" at the heart of the town.
DAY2: Clos
Lucé-Chenonceau-Azay le
Rideau-Chinon
After a quick view of the Château
of Amboise, we will visit the Clos
Lucé to discover Leonardo da
Vinci's home and his "fabulous machines".
Chenonceau,
also known as the "Ladies Château": Catherine
de Briçonnet, Diane de Poitiers, Catherine
de Médicis, Louise de Lorraine…
considered as the most beautiful château : it
is built on the river Cher… Don't miss the
chimney designed by Jean Goujon in Diane de

Lunch in a cellar at Montlouis :
"La cave de Mont Louis".
Azay-Le-Rideau. Pure, calm and elegant.
Built on piles in the bed of the river Indre, with
its pepper box towers and its decorative covered
ways. Guided tour.
Chinon. It was here that Joan of
Arc recognized the future Charles VII hidden
amongst the crowd. The romantic ruins of the castle
overhang with majesty over the river Vienne.

DAY3: Loches-Montrésor-Valençay
Loches. One of the most beautiful Middle Age defense buildings. Agnes Sorel and Charles VII hid their love life in this castle. Guided tour.
On the road, we take a glimpse at the strong walls of Montresor's fortress, built in the XIth century.
Lunch under the chestnut-trees, 6km from Valençay, at the "Auberge St Fiacre", in Veuil, a village in bloom.
Valençay. Visit of the château and the park.
A very beautiful castle, belonging to the Renaissance and announcing the classic style.
It didn't belong to any king, but to financiers such as the Scotsman John Law. In 1803, Napoleon Bonaparte ordered the prince of Benevent to welcome the future Ferdinand VII ; the latter stayed in this golden prison until 1814, date of the fall of the French Empire.
The formal garden is a beautiful example of a Renaissance garden.
