the path to a new generation of integrated projects that enrich
the characters of modern hotel hospitality with art, entertainment

The GALLERY Hotel Art is more than just a hotel. It’s a
place of modern conception, a mental project and “container”
of suggestions meant for eclectic international travellers, a

Philosophy
|
|
GALLERY Hotel Art is part of the Lungarno Hotels,
the hotel management company owned by the Ferragamo family. It
helped launch the phenomenon of the Design Hotels in Italy.
GALLERY Hotel Art is a member of the Design Hotels International
network. The project source at the base of the GALLERY Hotel
Art is the synthesis of three modern applications that consistently
respond to the needs of modern tourism.
Quality is the constant and prominent element of detail
that is expressed in both traditional Florentine craftsmanship
and in the very core of the fashion business of Salvatore Ferragamo,
which is updated and applied to the hotel projects.
Peculiarity is an unexpected and captivating project,
a new way of being a hotel, an antithesis to the classicism expressed
in most of the hotels in the city.
Design Concept exploring new interior design languages,
the choice of materials and the way they are combined at the research
of a new sensorial expression highly personalized and gratifying.

Each room is air conditioned and is equipped with last generation
audio and video systems (satellite TV and pay TV) and adapted
for fax, modem or video conferences upon request.
 
There are now 8 penthouse suites on the 7th floor from which it
is possible to admire unrepeatable views of the roof tops of Florence.
Linen sheets and cashmere blankets together with bathroom accessories
and CD players that allow the guest to enjoy music, pleasantly complete
the sense of hospitality.

During the year, there are contemporary,
modern art or photographic exhibitions in the lobby and library
of the GALLERY Hotel Art, that alternate, giving life to a space
that goes beyond the actual walls and traditional hotel activity.
The program initiatives, for its diversity,
aims to involve and interest a public that is ready to acknowledge
and appreciate the inclinations, trends and curiosities proposed
in an eclectic atmosphere where the guest is given the attention
and feels a part of it all.

The Fusion Bar
- Shozan-Gallery
Shozan-Gallery is the place dedicated to the culinary experience
of the Fusion culture and harmonious hospitality. Here the guests
meet with the chic tribes of the city that have chosen the GALLERY
Hotel Art to mingle. A pleasant osmotic relationship with the
city of which to appreciate its everyday life.
Shozan-Gallery has been established as
a location-laboratory with thematic evenings and convivial meetings,
that quickly became a cult for the guests and the city.
Thanks to this original and dynamic vision,
(The Fusion Bar) Shozan-Gallery has received the “3 chicchi
e 3 tazzine” award from the GAMBERO ROSSO 2003 guide for
the best bars in Italy.

Chic and contemplative
The GALLERY Hotel Art completely
embraces the guest with its own power of suggestion: the
modern aspect, the clean lines, the lights, the background
music, the furnishings, the colours, the materials and the
concept of spaces are all fundamental elements chosen to
coincide beauty with well-being.
The lobby is the first strong sign
of the project where the pure architectural form is marked
with lines, with strokes of colour from selected art objects.
The work displayed on the walls introduces and emphasises
the hotel’s vocation.
The reading-living room has a large
wengè wood library installed in the wall, inserted
in a linear and bright décor that echoes the Orient.
Here art book culture and selected international magazines
create a reciprocal, modern “contamination” where
art becomes an important dynamic element which makes the
guests feel as if they were in private collector’s
room.
All the rooms are furnished to inspire
serenity and relaxation and they represent spaces in which
style, design and attention to detail are founded with technology.
The bedroom areas are characterized by modern and linear
boar leather headboards sown by hand. Details of the interior
decoration that stress the sense of craftsmanship of the
furnishings just like the elements in dark wengè
wood that give strong touches and accents to the brightness
of the room.

Situated on the upper floors, with a view of the river and
a truly unique panorama: Brunelleschi‚s Dome, Giotto‚s
Bell Tower, Ponte Vecchio, Florence in all its splendor.
Equally romantic, although without the river view, is the
room in the medieval Tower: bare stone walls, a canopied
double bed, and all of the atmosphere of an ancient manor
combined with every comfort of modern life.

Almost all of them overlooking the river, Ponte Vecchio
and the monumental Florence of the Lungarni, these rooms
offer spacious size and the emotion of a unique view. They
are available according to request with balconies, terraces
