Description:
Hotel LUNGARNO is along the left side of the Arno River, between
Ponte Vecchio and Ponte S. Trinita in one of the most extraordinary
locations in the city. After its refurbishment in 1997, it boasts
an individuality and image that has made it one of the most desired
destinations in international tourism.
With 73 very pampering and luxurious rooms, including
13 suites of natural elegance, unpretentious Hotel LUNGARNO became
part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the world in 1998, a network
that represents the most characteristic and fascinating hotels
of the world.

The glass windows in the living room area frame
the masterpiece view of the Ponte Vecchio and the palazzi
that face the river, while the terraces become a theatrical stage
under the stars from which to admire the spectacular panorama
of the heart of Florence.

Borgo San Jacopo
The hotel enjoys privileged access to the restaurant Borgo San
Jacopo, the citys recently opened Dining room on the
river.
Through an adjoining room, guests enter the restaurant, which
is decorated and furnished in a contemporary style upholding the
character of the Hotel LUNGARNO. On two levels overlooking the
Arno river, Borgo san Jacopo draws upon the tradition of the great
cucina Italiana and, according to the varying season
and produce, offers re-invented and artful classic dishes such
as fritto allitaliana and homemade pasta and
bread.
The Sala Guarnieri is part of the main body of the hotel directly
facing the river. It is available for private meetings or parties
with high quality services and technology and even personalized
catering. If a client desires an organized private party, that
can also be arranged at the restaurant.
Lungarno bar
The gathering place for a smart, international clientele, the
Lungarno bar is a uniquely charming salon overlooking the river.
Here you will breathe an atmosphere of enchantment, the fruit
of a magic alchemy.
The great windows flooding the room with light and bright and
the sparkling reflections from the Arno confer a sensation of
sailing gently over the water. As you sip a drink in front of
the fireplace or on the terrace, your gaze will be caught by precious
furnishings and paintings by Picasso, Rosai and Cocteau. Meet
with friends in the evening to enjoy an aperitif or a cordial
after-dinner drink in this magic spot, to experience the enchantment
of Florence at its finest.

Lungaro Magic
Those who have stayed at the Hotel
Lungarno are familiar with the enchanting atmosphere that
pervades its rooms and halls. It is a world made of light
and art, of glowing reflections and beauty brought by the
magic of the river flowing below.
The sparkling light of the water
enters though great windows, through terraces and balconies,
offering the emotion of silence mingled with the vivid colors
of the Florentine days and nights.
A unique blend of energy and charm,
a place where time is suspended, embellished by the great
collection of 450 original works by 20th century painters
that adorn the walls of rooms, halls and corridors.

|
Interior Design
The interior design of Hotel LUNGARNO,
inspired by the nuova classicità, is
a smart balance of ivory toned fabrics and ocean blue carpets
with details that recall the elegance of an aristocratic
Italian home. It creates perfect ample space, even for the
most well travelled guests in Florence, to relax and feel
at home.
|
Furnishings
The antique furnishings, the collection
of paintings from mostly 20th century Italy, among them
a Picasso design above the fireplace, displayed in the living
room areas and in the hotel rooms, are part of the hotels
endowed originals and significantly contribute to the continuity
between the past and future.

Each of the Junior Suites is distinctive for its particular
atmosphere, its own personality. You can chose one with
a romantic view over the river, or one built on two floors,

of these privileges at the same time. And each suite is
ideal for accommodating a third person, with ample, private
space for each occupant.

EXECUTIVE - Rooms with double bed
or two queen beds.
The proportions of the interior spaces and the scrupulous

the Renaissance city in the background.

Situated on the upper floors, with a view of the river and
a truly unique panorama: Brunelleschis Dome, Giottos
Bell Tower, Ponte Vecchio, Florence in all its splendor.

room in the medieval Tower: bare stone walls, a canopied
double bed, and all of the atmosphere of an ancient manor
combined with every comfort of modern life.
|
|
SUPERIOR - Rooms with double bed
or two twin beds.
Almost all of them overlooking the river, Ponte Vecchio
and the monumental Florence of the Lungarni, these rooms
offer spacious size and the emotion of a unique view. They
are available according to request with balconies, terraces
or splendid floor to ceiling sliding windows.
|
|
CLASSIC - Rooms with double bed or
